In February, we shar’ed the first 128 recipient’s of the digital news initiative innovation fund, our €150 million commitment over the next three year’s to support’ing innovation in the European news industry, and we’re excit’ed to see those project’s get underway this summer. Today, we’re thrill’ed to open the fund for a second round of applications which will be accept’ed through July 11th.
The goal of the fund is simple, if ambitiou’s: to spark new think’ing, which could come from anywhere in the news ecosystem, to give news organization’s – of all size’s – the space to try some new thing’s with no string’s attach’ed award’s.
